Era of Virtual Reality
If you’ve been a little in the news lately then you’ll immediately relate to this buzz, so much that few tech giants are already expecting this to surpass the wearable era. So what exactly is Virtual Reality.
In plain English, Virtual reality is altering your actual reality which in front of you and replacing the same with a more immersive digital world crafted. You’ll feel that you’re playing golf on the beach of Miami or pointing a head-shot in counter-strike while appearing awkward to the person observing you.
The Hardware is pretty simple. You’ll need to wear a head mounted display fitted with high performance sensors and cameras to track the motion of your head. All your actions will be centric to your immersive exposure that you’ll get from your mounted display.
Virtual reality has been there for a while and has been welcomed as a promising bet for the future,no wonder why Facebook bought Oculus Rift. In the last year Google I/O we saw the announcement of Google Cardboard and everyone soon followed from Samsung to HTC to One plus. One plus went a step ahead and hosted the world’s first VR Phone launch of the One Plus 2 by distributing the VR sets among the fans.
Virtual reality is a stunning way of interacting with the technology and it is only going to bridge the gap between us and the way we communicate with each other. While we speak Microsoft has already went a step ahead by bringing in the HoloLens which is based on Augmented Reality that merges your real world with the virtual one. Exciting time awaits us and there are many applications that are awaiting the use of this new and emerging technology.
